Create your first comment-to-DM automation
Pick a post, choose your keywords, and write the DM once. IGMsg watches comments 24/7 and auto-DMs everyone who comments a keyword, instantly.
A comment-to-DM automation is the core of Instagram DM automation: it auto-sends a private message the moment someone comments a keyword on your post. Here is how to set one up in about a minute.
Start a new automation
From the sidebar, open Automations → Comments and click New automation. Give it a name you will recognize later, like "Guide lead magnet".
Pick the post and keyword
Choose the post you want to watch, then enter your trigger keywords - for example price, link, or guide. You can also trigger on any comment. See keyword match modes for how matching works.
Write the DM and add a button
Write the message IGMsg will send. Use @{{username}} to personalize it, and add multiple variants so replies get rotated to avoid spam detection. You can attach a link or a payment button.
Turn it on
Toggle the automation to Active and save. IGMsg now watches that post around the clock and replies to matching comments instantly, using the official Instagram API.

How fast does the DM send?
Almost instantly, within the send-delay you configure (2 to 5 seconds is recommended to look natural).
Can one automation watch multiple posts?
Each automation watches one post. Create additional automations for other posts - free plans include a set number.
Does it also reply to the public comment?
Optionally. Enable the reply-to-comment toggle to also post a public reply in addition to the DM.
